
PHuture Leaders Program
Purpose
The PHuture Leaders Program supports early-career governmental public health professionals in North Carolina by strengthening essential skills for both immediate impact and long-term career success. Participants explore leadership in a public health context, build foundational competencies, and develop supportive professional networks to foster continued growth and advancement in the workforce.
Eligibility
Full-time early-career staff of NC local health departments or the NC Division of Public Health with one to three years of total professional experience.
Timeline

The PHuture Leaders Program is a 14-week experience, with new cohorts onboarding each May and participating through early August.
Curriculum
Participants will build their leadership capacity through weekly self-paced learning and a monthly live webinar led by UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health faculty and staff, with an estimated monthly time commitment of 3-5 hours per month. More information will be available soon!
