E-Learn: Effective Supervision for Early Career Professionals

This course will introduce strategies to help you effectively supervise new professionals starting their public health careers. You may already be familiar with some of these strategies, and you may learn some new ones. Regardless of how familiar you are, focus on how you can intentionally apply these practices to support your supervisee's growth throughout the New Professionals Program.

The Early Career Supervisor Guide reinforces key concepts from the e-learn and provides resources to help you apply effective supervision strategies that support fellow development and success.

​​The New Professionals Program is designed to equip new public health professionals with the confidence and expertise needed for successful, long-term careers in local governmental public health in North Carolina. This is achieved by providing a combination of education, coaching, and peer learning opportunities.
